What’s Causing Your Foot & Ankle Pain in Chicago?

Your feet and ankles bear the brunt of thousands of steps daily. Over time, wear and misalignment can lead to chronic pain or injury. Here’s why:

  • Repetitive Impact: Running, jumping, or sudden increases in activity strain tendons and ligaments, leading to inflammation and pain.
  • Abnormal Foot Mechanics: High or low arches disrupt natural shock absorption, placing extra stress on joints and tissues.
  • Trauma & Sprains: A sudden twist or misstep can tear stabilizing ligaments, requiring expert rehab to regain full strength and stability.
  • Arthritic Wear & Tear: Years of weight-bearing activities can break down cartilage, form bone spurs, and restrict movement.

Ignoring the pain won’t make it go away. Our advanced diagnostics pinpoint the exact cause, so we can create a solution that works for you.

Customized Relief & Lasting Solutions

At Engram Therapy and Wellness Clinic, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatments. Your personalized recovery plan may include:

  • Physical Therapy: Strengthen weak areas, restore range of motion, and correct movement patterns to prevent reinjury.
  • Manual Therapy: Hands-on techniques to release tension, improve mobility, and relieve pain—fast.
  • Custom Orthotics & Braces: Proper alignment distributes pressure evenly, reducing strain and supporting long-term healing.
  • Injury Prevention Strategies: Learn the right warm-ups, stretches, and footwear choices to stop pain before it starts.

This comprehensive approach ensures you recover quickly and stay pain-free for the long haul.

Success Stories & Testimonials

“ We connected with Engram about a year ago. My husband had been in the hospital after issues with frequent falling. He is a stroke victim and has PAD.

Carla began working with him when he could barely stand up or get out of bed without falling. What was so great was that she tailored the therapy to his individual needs. She worked with him in real time and in our home.

My husband has made huge strides

His falling incidents have decreased . He was able to travel for a family weekend. He did not fall once and the family was amazed at his progress.

We are so grateful for Carla and Engramfor enriching our life!”

“ I’ve been on Physical Therapy for a long time due to Arthrofibrosis of my left knee .I have a lot of swelling , pain and my ROM is a big issue , I normally don’t write anything on social media but 2 days ago the swelling really got worst but I went anyway . Carla saw me having a very hard time walking .She took me in and did an lymphatic drain , she said no exercise for now , she needs to pay attention to my clinical symptoms first which she saw as priority. She definitely saw my need and she provided that , then she said don’t go rest here for as long as you need . She explained what to expect after urinating a lot .

Folks, that is compassion ! Just remember she treated me with care , that is so important to someone like me .

There is so much to say but as a patient you need to depend on someone , although proactiveness is a must .

I deeply recommend to anyone needing PT/OT/Lymphatic drainage or massage to check out Engram Wellness Center and ask for Carla , she is one of a kind !”
